For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. (Hebrews 4:12-13)
Pilate therefore said to Him, "Are You a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice." Pilate said to Him, "What is truth?" and when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, "I find no fault in Him at all." (John 18:37-38)
Perhaps you wonder about the meaning of the title, "The Sword of Truth". You might even be provoked because you think I claim to be the one and only holder of the ultimate truth.
The Sword The Sword of Truth symbolizes that I believe there is an absolute, ultimate truth. A truth that is independent of contemporary, politically correct opinions and modern paradigms, which in media and the general debate are regarded as so obviously correct and sensible, that it is almost impossible to understand how anyone, who is not insane, can be of a different opinion.
I don't pretend to have the absolute truth regarding everything. But I believe there is such a truth and that this truth is independent of what you and I believe, think or wish. We can not decide what is true, only without prejudice try to find the truth. The Truth will not bow to us we must bow to the Truth!
Earth does not become flat, just because someone believes that it is flat. The laws of the atoms do not change according to our opinions. God does not cease to exist just because humans, at a certain time, deny His existence. Neither does God begin to exist because a majority of Mankind believes in Him. No, if He does not exist, then this is a fact, independent of our opinions, and if he exists, well then this is also a fact, not dependent on human opinions. Our only alternative is to, as unbiased as is possible, try to approach the Truth.
Truth does not depend on the opinions of the majority, no, not even the opinions of the journalists, politicians and cultural elite (now I am almost making myself guilty of blasphemy). The Truth is what it is. If the Earth is round, then it is round, even if 100 percent of Mankind insists that it is flat. If God exists, well then this is a truth, regardless whether media, the school books and the intellectuals, at a certain time, in a certain country or in the whole world, denies him.
Of course one must be humble towards the opinions of others. I do not try to enforce my opinions on someone else. But, I have the right to believe that there exists absolute truth and use my resources (intellect, money etc) to search for this truth. And even argue for what I believe is the truth.
In our time today everything is supposed to be true and the concept of truth has been reduced to an opinion among other opinions. But if there is an absolute truth, then all statements that contradicts this absolute truth must be false. On my web pages I discuss topics that have to do with absolute truth. That I myself, believe that the opinions I present on my pages are true is rather obvious. No one would choose to believe in something that he or she believes to be false. Of course there is a possibility that I am wrong, exactly as there is the possibility that you the reader are/is wrong.
